The Joint Base San Antonio (JBSA) will be a 5G experimentation site for telemedicine and medical training tools. There are five initial technical focus areas: AR-guided enhanced medical training, advanced telehealth information access, advanced telerobotic surgery, augmented reality technology enabled remote integrated surgery (ARTERIS) and mobile medical environments.
